Ready in under 30 minutes – sweet, shareable, and host-approved!

Why it’s perfect for hosting:
Instead of traditional long churros, these bite-sized treats are easier to serve and eat at parties—no mess, no fuss. Pair with a rich chocolate hazelnut dip for a grown-up upgrade that guests will rave about.

Ingredients (for about 30 bites):

Churro Dough:

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 ½ tbsp sugar

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Chocolate Hazelnut Dip:

  • ½ cup chocolate hazelnut spread (like Nutella)

  • ¼ cup heavy cream

  • 1 tsp espresso powder (optional, for depth)

Instructions:

  1. Make the Dough: In a saucepan, bring water, sugar, salt, and butter to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in flour until a dough forms. Let cool slightly, then mix in egg and vanilla until smooth.

  2. Fry the Bites: Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F. Pipe 1-inch pieces of dough into the oil using a pastry bag with a star tip. Fry until golden (about 2 minutes).

  3. Coat: Roll warm churro bites in cinnamon sugar.

  4. Make the Dip: Warm cream in a small saucepan, remove from heat, and stir in chocolate hazelnut spread and espresso powder.

  5. Serve on a platter: Add toothpicks and a small bowl of the dip for an easy, elegant presentation.
